How Hyundai Protection Plan pricing works
Hyundai Protection Plan vehicle service contracts are offered through Hyundai dealers and Hyundai Motor Finance. Hyundai's materials describe coverage at participating Hyundai dealers nationwide (HMF). Confirm that your local dealer participates.
Owners warn that finance offices often pitch a third-party plan (Zurich, ASE and others) as "the" extended warranty (Palisade Forum, Hyundai Forums).
Is it the same plan if I buy from another dealer? Partly verified: Hyundai Motor Finance says participating dealers nationwide. Not every Hyundai dealer necessarily participates.
In general, the manufacturer sets a cost for each plan, and the dealer selling it decides how much to add on top. That's why the same contract can be priced very differently by two dealers. Before you sign anything, check the plan name, term, deductible, start date/mileage, and cancellation terms in writing.
